Christmas Time at SoCool

The Festival of Lights is underway at Patti's 1880's Settlement in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, an annual event featuring millions(?) of Christmas lights decorating everything that dares to stand still long enough to be lit. The event is a very popular attraction throughout the holiday season. And of course a trip to Patti's is not complete without a stopping at one of the funkiest boutiques in the MidWest: SoCool Shop. The shop is just across the street from Patti's, in the heart of Grand Rivers. SoCool's big feature is their huge inventory of Vera Bradley items, Pandora Jewelry too! Other really cool stuff like Life is Good, Tilley Hats, Mary Francis purses, Hello Kitty and lots more. The people at SoCool are super courteous, very helpful too, we recommend them highly! Vera Bradley Christmas Ornaments

We were at the SoCool Shop in Grand Rivers last Saturday when the FedEx delivery man brought several boxes of these cool Vera Bradley Christmas ornaments. Of course my wife was quick to notice and could not resist buying a couple to add to her collection. They definitely make great Christmas presents, especially for your friends who are avid Vera Bradley fans. Also noticed lots of retired Vera Bradley purses, at HUGE savings! New Vera Bradley Winter Color & Styles 2010

The new Winter Vera Bradley colors and styles are now available at SoCool Shop in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. The new colors seen above are: Baroque, Buttercup, Twirly Bird Pink, Twirly Bird Navy and Versailles. You need to check out the new colors. Also this month, October, the annual Hunters' Moon Festival in Grand Rivers, KY takes place on the weekend of the 9th. SoCool has its LARGEST sidewalk sale of the year on that Saturday, great bargains on some mighty cool stuff. So Cool is a great place to find super discounted retired Vera Bradley, another good reason to visit SoCool.

The new Vera Bradley Fall colors have arrived at SoCool, we were especially impressed with the new color: "Very Berry Paisley". Also, the new Frill collection for Fall 2010 are in stock, the new style "Make Me Up" is really nice, cool. Hey, SoCool even carries Vera Bradley sunglasses, stationery and more! Best Vera Bradley store we have found in the Midwest!

Cool Vera Bradley Candles

Found these Vera Bradley candles at the SoCool Shop in Grand Rivers. There was an assortment of fragrances: floral, passion fruit/guava, eucalyptus... One interesting "fragrance" was a neutral candle without odor but with deodorizing capability. Each fragrance has a particular colored tin, a color pattern shared with Vera purses and other items, including: imperial tole, symphony in hue, hope garden....... Seems like every time we go to SoCool, we discover something new in the Vera Bradley line.

Quilt Shows: Grand Rivers & Paducah

Wow, it is quilt show time already, snuck up on us this year. Yes, the 12th annual Grand Rivers Quilt Show takes place this week, opening on April 21, the show runs through April 24. And of course the BIG quilt show is in Paducah, for many of the quilters it is THE event of the year. So, lots going on in the Western Kentucky area this weekend, beautiful Spring weather to enjoy as well.
Heard from the BOSS at SoCool Shop in Grand Rivers that she plans a huge sidewalk sale on Friday and Saturday, extended hours until 8PM on those days too. Lots of people look forward to Laurie's sidewalk sales, lots of good deals on clothing, jewelry and other stuff. The new Vera Bradley Spring colors for 2010 have arrived at SoCool. The new colors are: Loves Me, Poppy Fields, Sittin' in a Tree and Totally Turq. The Poppy Fields look interesting, quite colorful, lot of cool pink in the Love Me pattern, you gotta see! SoCool's sale on discontinued and retired Vera Bradley continues, great deals to be had!
